Meet The Audio Smith

I’m Dan Smith, and I’ve been behind a console in the local church since 1994.

My journey started as a volunteer, but my passion for excellence led me to over a decade of staff ministry. Most notably, I served as the Audio Director for Willow Creek’s 7,200-seat auditorium, managing one of the most complex worship environments in the country.

I believe that the Gospel is too important to be muffled by a bad mix. Any distraction in the audio acts as a barrier between the message and the listener.

I am a mentor, not just a technician. I founded The Audio Smith because I noticed a gap: churches often get "fixers" who leave a bill, but rarely "mentors" who leave a legacy. I build lasting relationships with your team, empowering your volunteers to find the same joy and confidence in the booth that I’ve found over the last 30 years.
